Codemill sells and develops video apps to the World's leading media companies. In the past years we have had a great journey at Codemill and we have expanded our knowledge, skills and number of employees. For 2021 and onwards we will expand even more and we have a lot of exciting opportunities ahead of us. This is why we are looking to reinforce our Sales Department with a Sales Manager who can join us in this venture.
At Codemill we build cloud based video applications that are used within the media workflow. Our tools help our customers to manage quality control, marketing, editing and automatic adjustments and AI services. Our core product is Accurate Video (www.accurate.video), that is used within the media and broadcasting business for video production. We sell Accurate Video to Global Top 100 media companies and some customers are Sony Pictures, Viacom, The Guardian and others that we’re not allowed to name drop :)

About the position
As a Sales Manager you will be responsible for the staff that work with Sales and Marketing. Together with the Sales Team you will set up activity goals and objectives. You are the one who leads the work and allocates resources and you’ll report to our Deputy CEO. In your position you will work with recruitment, coaching and education in order to make the Sales Department succeed. With daily follow-ups and an effective sales process you and your team will contribute to the continuous growth of Codemill’s business.
You will have close collaboration with the Managers of R&D and Professional Services in order to compile sales data and gather information about our products and services. The majority of your colleagues in the Sales Department are located in Umeå, but you will also have colleagues around the world e.g. in the US. It is your responsibility as a Sales Manager to coordinate these people and make the sales process efficient. Of course, you will also work hands-on with sales and guide your team in prospecting, negotiations and closing deals. You will have a great influence on how sales and marketing is managed in the company and you’ll have the mandate to handle our biggest customers.
In this position there will be some traveling (when the restrictions are eased) and sometimes you will join meetings after working hours in order to match the different time zones that our customers have.
We are looking for an experienced leader who has a great passion for sales and team leadership. As a person you need to be energetic and enthusiastic about sales and have a strong sense of business acumen. You enjoy working with people and want to help your team members develop and grow. You need to have experience from the IT business or have knowledge from the media/video/broadcast industry.
As a leader you are communicative and direct and you need to have experience leading a sales team. You are open to work in a changing environment and you appreciate being a part of an innovative and growing business. You need excellent skills in english, both written and speaking, since almost all of our customers are international.
We prefer that you have an academic background and that you have documented work experience within sales and IT/media/video/broadcasting.
This position is full-time and located at our Umeå office. We will start with the interviews in the middle of January and aim to fill this position as soon as possible.
